AREGBESOLA FUFU Nigerian politicians have never stoped to - TopicsExpress

AREGBESOLA FUFU Nigerian politicians have never stoped to amuse me. They view Nigerians as idiots who they should continue to fool and hold incontempt. They do not regard us a human beings not even as animals with ability to choose between good and bad. They all have one thing in common- deciet. They are same and act same way and manner, Very recently, we saw them exhibit the same colour and character in Ekiti State, where the two power contenders engaged themselves in shameless display of absolute stupidity by distributing few quantities of cooked and uncooked rice to the people they truely believed have been impoverished by their misrule. They deliberately pauperised the people for their electoral values. They read and understood the Bible very well, they knew that hunger pushed Essu to sell his birthright to Jacob for a spoonful of porride. So for them to remain relevant and important, hunger as a weapon of mass subjugation has to be deployed within the population. I am at lost as to know why an incumbent governor who is in office for good four years suddenly realises only few days to his reelection that his electorates are hungry and therefore needed foods to stay alive. It is equally shameless for someone to stalkpile cartons of high currency notes solely for the purposes of purchasing rice and groundnut oil to be distributed to the impoverised Nigerians for their votes during elections. This shameful acts has risen to a riddiculous level where FUFU, the commonest food item in Nigeria is now been deployed to entice voters and buy their conscience. I really find it laughable that incumbent Gov Aregbesola who was acclaimed to have perform wonders in Osun State has now invented a special brand of FUFU to buy votes for his reelection bide. His costumised FUFU was commissioned only for his reelection and it cannot be found in any foodshops in Osun state. My question, why did he not established cassava processing mills in his state so that this special brand of FUFU could be mass produced and introduced into the Nigerian and the larger markets of the ECOWAS to provide wealth and employment for the unemployed citizens of his state. For someone like Aregbesola who has been in power for good four years to resort to this last minutes panick reelection measures shows that his much publicised transformation of Osun State is a phatom. Even when his opponent is distributing Groundnut oils to voters, his four years in office ought to have given him some electoral advantage if indeed he had touched the lives of his people. Or does it mean that his four years as governor has no direct effect and impact on the people of Osun State to enable return him to office for second term? It appeared to so, judging by the way his is using ordinary FUFU to buy votes. Quite shameful. He should pack his bags and baggages and get out of the Osun State Govt House because he has no business seeking to remain there. This again bring the issue of providing adequate security during the election to limelight because of the hue and cry from some quarters that the federal governments security measures were intended to intimidate voters and coece them to voting against their conscience. May I ask how? Are the security agents going to escort voters into the pulling boots at gun points and force them to vote against their conscience in the full glare of both the Local and International Election Observers? In a situation where aspirants have gone as far as trying to buy votes with everything unmaginable, from rice, beans, groundnut oils, fufu, plantains and even yam tubers, did Nigerians not envisage a situation where these desperate aspirants will employ every concievable and inconcievable electoral frauds to get elected? The deployment of adequate security, which some termed millitarisation of the area is to safeguide lives, properties and election materials. Those who do not harbour evil motives do not need to complain about the security arrangements. People should go and caste their votes for their prefered candidates under one man one vote slogan. No politician is worth human blood and as President GEJ puts it no election is worth shedding innocent blood for.
