ARGH!!.... HOPEFULLY LESSON LEARNED... I recently had placed order for thread for my longarm.... The order came in colors were all what I had ordered.... I pinned my next quilt project onto rollers and get my top thread threaded and wound my bobbins.. Ok.. all prepped to start work.... I begin.... I am doing a freesyle leaf and loop design... when I get done with my first row and do my first turn, I go on backside of table to check to see how everything looked.. Well it looked ok.. not great but ok.... I proceed and continue with my continuous sewing.. I am about 3/4 done with entire quilt top now .... and the backside caught my eye and felt like I had been slapped in the face......... You know -- my first gut instinct when I first checked the back of quilt was nope, lets change the top thread, but I was so set in mind that was the color (variegated) that I wanted to do the quilt top in....... SO needless to say I had to take the entire quilt sandwich off frame and tonight and maybe the next day or so work on UNSEWING all that work.... The top looked beautiful but the back looked HORRIFIC.... I usually do all my quilt work in 40#..... I checked that NEW cone of thread and it said it was 50#...... sigh...... All that time quilting wasted and even more time wasted by having to take out all that stitching..... (Thank goodness it was one of my quilts and not a customers .. so I can take what time I need to rip out the stitching without being pressured for time).....
