ARMY ORGANISES PAINTING COMPETITION AT GOVT HIGH SCHOOL, SALDHAR Jammu :- The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, located at Sarh under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform), organised a painting competition at Govt High School, Saldhar, Tehsil Mahore on 05 Aug 13, as part of the ongoing Op Sadbhavana. Approx 60 students participated in various categories ranging from Water colours, Sketch pens, Colour pencils, Crayons and Pencil sketch etc. The theme selected was Independence Day. They took active part with enthusiasm to showcase their talent and make beautiful and imaginative paintings to make the event more colourful. The event was witnessed by students and teachers.The Zonal Educational Officer, Mahore thanked and expressed profound gratitude towards the army for organizing the event. He said; that such event not only provides a leap towards fostering the bond of friendship between the Army and the local populace, but also helps in identifying budding artists of the area. The event culminated with distribution of prizes to winners and appreciating the participants for their efforts.
