ARRESTS: Members of the ULSTER REGIONAL GANG ENFORCEMENT NARCOTICS TEAM (U.R.G.E.N.T.) report the arrest of three Kerhonkson area men subsequent to a heroin trafficking investigation. URGENT received intelligence in regard to persons distributing heroin in the Kerhonkson area. URGENT initiated an investigation and conducted several undercover buy operations in the Towns of Wawarsing and Rochester. The following persons were taken into custody during the last three days. The defendants have been indicted by an Ulster County Grand Jury and are held on Ulster County Court Indictment Warrants. Troy Blackwell, 39, AKA: “Indio”, of Ulster County Jail 2 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, a class B felony 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, a class B felony Malike J. Hayward, 40, of 6 Eaton Court, Ellenville 2 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, a class B felony 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, a class B felony Jason M. Rogers, 37, AKA: “J”, of Westwood Ave, Ellenville 3 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, a class B felony 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, a class B felony All three defendants are held in the Ulster County Jail pending arraignment in Ulster County Court. The following agencies have members assigned to URGENT: Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, Town of Woodstock Police, Town of Lloyd Police, Town of Shandaken Police, Ulster County Probation, Town of Plattekill Police, Town of New Paltz Police and United States Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
