ARRGH... a list of 9....when will they learn! Heres 10 Comic Books that should get the Hollyweird treatment before Ant-Man...(1) The Manhunters 1970s run from Detective Comics, DC. With or without Batman in it. (2) Moon Knight...Marvel... keep him as close to the original as possible- A mercenary who is hired to capture a werewolf. He uses multiple identities to conduct his business. (3) I know Netflix is doing something theyre calling The Defenders, but I want the Defenders... Dr. Strange- a Greenwich Village weird claiming to have magical powers-, Valkyrie (amnesiac housewife whos husband turns out to be excess baggage in her superhero career,) Nighthawk(a One-Percenter who thinks he can buy his way into Superherodom), Hellcat(bored housewife divorces her husband and becomes a superheroine, what could be more realistic than that?) and Luke Cage ( a black guy falsely imprisoned and secretly experimented on by the Government. Do they rip this out of the headlines like Law & Order or what?) 4. Hawkman...not the 60s Space Alien, but the 1940s Reincarnation of an ancient Egyptian wizard. 5. Doom Patrol. 6. Challengers of the Unknown... Naomi Watts, large and in charge as the teams boss, Government Agent June Robins. 7. while not exclusively a creature of the comic books...Korak, Son of Tarzan. He should carry a gun and prove hes not just living his fathers shadow. 8. Hate... not a superhero book, but one of the funniest damn books from the 1990s B&W glut. 9. Miracleman... over Alan Moores dead body, Im sure, but Moore is getting up there in years. 10. Adam Warlock v. Magus storyline from the Strange Tales/ Adam Warlock books of the late 1970s.... see, thats a list of 10 butt-kicking, bubble-gum chewing ideas for movies based on comics, with only limited team ups of characters to carry a movie.
