ARTS & CRAFTS CENTER Call 366-4248 for more information. Authentic Italian Cooking, Contorni (Side dishes) - 4 Part Classes: (October 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th, Friday, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm). Learn from a real Italian to cook some delicious pasta. Students will learn to make Patate alforno, Peperonata, Pisselli, Verdue Al Forno & or Verdure in Padella. $80.00+ fee covers 4 part class instructions and ingredients; students will watch instructor prepare, take notes and sample all the delicious recipes before going home to try cooking on their own. Ages 16 and up, min of 3 students is required to start class with maximum of 6 students. Bring notebook and pen. Beginner’s Sewing (4 Part class): (SATURDAY classes: October 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th, from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm). This course is designed to introduce students to basic sewing knowledge. Upon completion of this course students will have a working knowledge of Sewing Terms, Use of the sewing machine, Selecting fabric, Reading a pattern, Fabric layout, marking, and cutting and Completion of a beginners project. $60 fee covers 4-part class. MATERIALS: Personal sewing machine preferred but not necessary; bring scissors and pins. Digital Photography Class I: (October 5th, Saturday, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm). Two hours of experimenting w/ basic camera settings to give more knowledge on megapixels, aperture, shutter speed and the flash. $45 fee covers instruction only; Ages 16 and up; Minimum of two (2) students is required for this class, maximum 7. Awesome Arachnids Craft: (October 5th, Saturday, 12:30 – 2:00 pm). Join the fun by learning and creating fun crafts. $13.00 fee includes instruction and materials to make 6 spider projects. Ages 6 and up w/ maximum 6 students. Nail Design Class: (October 5th, 1:00 – 3:00). The 2-hour class is designed to teach individuals of at-home nail design. The students will learn how to apply polish on polish, nail decals, Filo canes and Rhinestones, Caviars (micro beads), striping tape and using dotting tools. $20.00 fee per person/per each session will include basic nail design kit to use in the class; students must come to class with unpolished nails (either own or acrylic nails) ready to be polished. Ages 10 and up w/ min of 2 students and maximum of 6 students per class. Authentic Italian, Cooking (Pasta) - 4 Part Classes: (October 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th, Tuesday, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm). Learn from a real Italian to cook some delicious pasta. Students will learn to make Carbonna Pasta, Matriciana Pasta, Bolognese Pasta and Pasta Al Pomodoro Fresco. $120.00 fee covers 4 part class instructions and ingredients; students will watch instructor prepare, take notes and sample all the delicious recipes before going home to try cooking on their own.
