ARUBA CHESS NEWS 2 Thursday, April 17, 2014: The Carifta Junior Chess Championship 2014 will take place in the lovely French speaking island of Martinique, also called Lile aux fleurs (the island of flowers). CM Raymundo Dijkhoff is the leader and coach of the Aruba Chess Delegation, a very tough task, but under his guidance our Brian Diaz won the U-12 category in last years edition. The championship will be played in the following Absolute and Female categories: U-8, U-10, U-12, U-14, U-16, U-18 and U-20. Absolute categories: U-12: Tijn Hoogendam U-14: Brian Diaz U-16: Mark Bueno U-20: Angel Centeno Female categories: U-20: WCM Annelaine Jacobs In each category the players will play 7 rounds and they will have 90 minutes on the clock, plus 30 seconds increment from the first move.
