ASIAN TV.NEWS ARMY AIR DEFENCE CELEBRATES ITS 22nd CORPS DAY IN LUCKNOW The Army Air Defence celebrated its 22nd Corps Day in Lucknow Cantonment today. Lt Gen Rajan Bakhshi, UYSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Command felicitated all ranks of the Corps and their families. He also commended all ranks for their professional competence and devotion to duty. The General Officer expressed the hope that the Corps of Army Air Defence would achieve greater laurels and achievements in the years to come by striving for professional excellence in all their endeavours. The Corps of Army Air Defence has been actively involved in defending the Country against hostile air threat and has given a good account of itself both in peace as also in war time. Air Defence Units and personnel regularly deputed with Rashtriya Rifles and field formations in counter insurgency roles have displayed utmost dedication and courage and have won several laurels and commendations including three Military Crosses and over a hundred other Gallantry Awards. The day was celebrated with enthusiasm in Lucknow Cantonment. The celebrations included lunch function where veterans and serving personnel of Army Air Defence met in an atmosphere of bonhomie.
