ASPers, some pranks are no joke (pardon the pun). This is one of those pranks that fall into the not funny category, and it was very nearly deadly for the pranksters. Here are some Active Self Protection lessons from this video: 1) The CCW holder that returned fire at the pranksters did a good job at covering. He found what cover he could, and he found it fast. Thats exactly what needs to happen in this situation. 2) When the defender realized his life may be in danger, he used his time effectively! If you look closely, you can see the glint of his pistol already in his hand by the time he reaches his cover. He used his time while running to draw. Thats quick thinking there, and its very good ASP. 3) Remember that you are responsible for EVERY bullet that comes out of your gun. While he made effective use of time, the defender should have been much more accurate. Youll see that most of his shots ricocheted off of the street. Who knows where those bullets are going to go? Make sure that if youre firing at something, youre doing your ABSOLUTE best to keep your shots on target. Otherwise, youve just potentially opened up a can of worms you REALLY dont want to deal with, and that could be harmful or deadly to an innocent person. -Robbie
