ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF POLICE (ASP) AND SERGEANT IN PRISON FOR KILLING A TEENAGER IN BENIN. It would be recalled that November 24, 2013 Samuel Imaikop and three others popularly known as THE UTE 4 were extra judicially slaughter to death by A team of policemen attached to the notorious Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Edo State Police Command along Ute Village, Bypass, Benin City. It must be noted that the Killer team then was headed by ASP Daniel Okonigwe. It was later discovered that it was ASP Okonigwe and Sgt Ibrahim Mohammed who shot the farmer while he was driving to his farm and later labeled them armed robber. The police paraded cutlasses the farmers were using to work in the farm alongside their corpses as armed robbers. Having gotten brief from the younger brother of the late farmer Pastor Brownson Imaikop who was incarcerated for 7 days for saying that his elder brother was not an armed robber but a farmer and conducted our independent investigation where we discovered that the Farmer was extra judicially murder by the notorious team of SARS. To this end, we went to Coroner Court through our amiable lawyer B.A Iluobe Esq to get an order for the exhumation of the corpses to enable us carry out autopsy to ascertained the circumstances that led to their death. The court granted our prayer and the bodies were exhumed on the 10th of January, 2014.The matter is still pending in court. Evil thrives when good men decide to say or do nothing. The last straw that broke the Carmels back was On the 5th of June, 2014 barely six month after the brutal murder of the farmers, the blood sucking ASP Daniel Okonigwe and others peregrinated to 20, Omoregie Street, Uteh and thereafter killed 15 years old teenager by name LOVELY OMOREGIE, as if that was not enough they arrested five others who were playing card with the little boy. We intervened as usual, the Police Commissioner, Folunso Adebanjo ordered the arrest of ASP Daniel Okonigwe and Sgt Ibrahim Mohammed and ordered the release of the five children who were kept incommunicado for five days by the killer squad. To our greatest astonishment, the father of the deceased Mr. Victor Omoregie meandered and withdrew from the case having settled with the police financially. We then wrote a petition to The Director Of public Prosecution on the 13th of October, 2014 through B.A Iluobe Chambers signed by Marxist Kola, Osagie Eweka E. S Davis and B.A Iluobe Esq entitled RE: LOVELY OMOREGIE (DECEASED) SHODDY INVESTIGATION, COMPLEXITY AND COMPOUNDING FELONY. Where we adumbrated copiously that Justice is a three way traffic: 1. The State that the police represents (and they are the culprit herein) 2. The victim, that the father and family represent (and they have compromised) an 3. The Society ( That we all belong to) As members of the general society, our interest in human right cases is greater than the interest of any person or body. The petition was concluded by calling on the DPP to order the shoddily investigated case to be reinvestigated and be charge to court without much ado. Sequel to our petition, the monstruum horrendum (ASP Daniel Okonigwe and Ibrahim Mohammed) were charge to court for murder and they have been remanded in custody. Philosophers have only interpreted the world; the point is to change it. May the souls of Ibrahim Momodu, Samuel Imaikop and three others, Osage Odion Egbon, Lovely Omoregie and others who had been extra judicially killed by the police rest in peace. We must continue to defend the peoples freedom.
