AST SUSPENSION & MOTORS! 2015 YZ450F quick over view of a refined machine! Lets start with the 20% lighter throttle spring which now gives a free flow of power! Then again the YZ has the most at near 58hp! Now this translates to a motor that can easily pull a 48t sprocket where last years was 49t. This will give the gears alittle more stretch & smoother transtions from gear to gear! (Honda take note on HP please!) Also ECU was changed to broaden power spread & give a little smoother torque! Other key componets that set this apart is that Yamaha continues to sport the KYB SSS Forks! Why? because they work flawless! Improvements were to install stiffer fork springs, thicker walled fork tubes & revised valving! Now the forks are top shelf with riders in the 170-190lbs range, kudos! Another key element to give the chassis abit more bit was to change motor mount brackets to steel to give better feedback & weight transfer. Finer details include the following; embedded graphics, black excel rims, easy airbox maintenance with no tools required & gold chain for durability/looks! Overall the YZ450F has stood the test of time with its bone stock reliable motor to its eccentric chassis! One can not deny that this machine is capable of winning! Thanks for reading!
