ASWB Wants you to know Today we explain the third and final step of what to do to register to take an ASWB social work licensing exam. Step 3: Register to take an ASWB licensing exam. After you receive notice from your board that you are approved to take a social work licensing exam, you may contact ASWB to register to take your exam. ASWB accepts registrations by four methods: online, by phone, by fax, and by mail. When you register, you will need to pay a nonrefundable examination fee to ASWB. The fee for the examination is separate from any fees required by your jurisdiction’s social work board. To register online: aswb.org/Main/registeronline.asp. When your registration is accepted, ASWB will send you an Authorization to Test notification by email or mail, allowing you to schedule your exam appointment at a Pearson VUE testing center.
