I would draw pictures and then go door-to-door in the neighborhood and try to sell them. I had developed (manufactured) my own product with almost no overhead, found a target market willing to buy my product (neighbors), assumed the risk, and utilized sales techniques to make the sale. These remain sound business practices to earn a substantial profit even to this day.
