AT WORK - Business owners were seeing red last week when New Jersey voters approved a minimum wage hike to $8.25 an hour, with automatic cost-of-living increases. Those same individuals must now be apoplectic with word President Obama supports a hike in the national minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. Such a giant leap from the current national rate of $7.25 an hour is designed to pull millions of Americans out of poverty. Expect business interests - and their extensive lobbying power - to blow this proposal right off Capitol Hill.
