ATHEIST NOISEMAKER ABUSES LORD KRISHNA IN TAMIL YELLOW MAGAZINE On 27 August 2013, the Tamil yellow magazine Nakkeeran published the following highly defamatory article by K Veeramani, President of Dravida Kazhagam, an influential organization subscribing to atheism. It is shocking to see that this article directly abusing Lord Krishna was released on the eve of Krishna Janmashtami, and faced no opposition from the Hindus in the state. This just shows to what a low level the Hindu morale has fallen! Here is the verbatim English translation of the article. NAKKEERAN TAMIL MAGAZINE, 27 Aug 2013 ‘SHOULD WE CELEBRATE KRISHNA JAYANTHI? THINK!’ K Veeramani, President of Dravida Kazhagam It seems tomorrow (28.8.2013) is Krishna’s birthday and in the name of “Gokulashtami” it is a government holiday- that too governments which have proclaimed the policy of “Secularism” in the introduction to the Constitution- holiday- loss of crores of rupees! Apart from one sect of Hinduism where the people consider Krishna as God- it is just an intoxication in the guise of Bhakti wherein the others would just be whiling away their time removing lice and lazing around. This is an act of belittling the concept of “Secularism”! 1. In Hinduism God who has no birth nor death- his birth and death according to what Vallalar said is a ‘child’s play’. What more is it? 2. Though the concept of God is imaginary, still is it not necessary to inculcate discipline to people?- there are great intellectuals who ask this and to them we say: a. Is Kannan the God who taught discipline? When he was a child he stole butter, when he grew up having stolen the dress of women who went into the pond to bathe, and sitting on top of the tree he made the same women come out of the pond, naked and he enjoyed that sight, he is the first person to have started eve-teasing-having done a deed which an ordinary person would feel ashamed to do and explaining it as ‘Krishna’s leela’ and by celebrating it will discipline flourish or be destroyed? Let the devotees think! b. In the name of Bhagavad Gita discourse, having instigated the fight between brothers leading to their killing one another is a mean and punishable act c. Not only violence, the caste system that is dividing the whole humanity- with the statement ‘the four castes were created by me’ and adding that‘even if I want to I cannot change the family dharma of the family and the dharma of the caste’- with these words the one who has established the caste system and the one who is the enemy of equality- who else could have done more harm to society than him? In this manner the one who has opposed the human equality and brotherhood and the one who has described women as sinners – worshipping such a person, how else can we describe it as ignorance, blind faith and barbarianism?
