ATR) The ANOC secretary general will work with the world’s NOCs to prepare them for the inaugural European Games in Baku and Rio 2016. As head of the IOC’s watchdog for the PyeongChang 2018 Games, the 67-year-old has her work cut out to address venue and budget issues. The Swedish IOC Executive Board member has helped project manage the building of ANOC’s new headquarters in Lausanne, which will open next year with new offices and staff. Work for Olympic Solidarity and the Rio 2016 coordination commission will keep her busy. She also has the task of helping NOCs to work through the changes in IOC President Thomas Bach’s 40-point reforms package that was unanimously approved earlier this month. 2014 ranking: 19 The Around the Rings Golden 25, now in its 19th year, is sponsored by EY. The list spotlights 25 individuals who will have substantial influence on the Olympic Movement in the year ahead. The Golden 25 is compiled by the staff of Around the Rings, the world’s most experienced journalistic team dedicated to covering the Olympics. The countdown from number 25 began December 20.
