ATT and VERIZON are having a widespread issue when a customer dials 911. The call may reach a 911 center but not necessarily the correct 911 center. And when the call needs to be transferred it may or may not reach the correct destination. In GIBSON COUNTY, if you dial 911 and do not reach us, please call us on our non-emergency line @ 731-692-3714. In reference to the ALERT MESSAGE that you received on your cell phones, the STATE had the incorrect # of 562-3714. We apologize for this error on their behalf.
