ATTENTION --- We are a fairly new yarn shop in the Alamo City! We’re looking for a part-timer to fill in here and there. We can guarantee at least 10 hours a week. Duties include the following: Daily cleaning and maintenance (sweeping, dusting, mopping, etc) Creating displays Cash handling Inventory management Customer relations and sales Continuing education on the craft Applicants must provide proof of the following: PC skills (Word, Excel, Explorer, Chrome) Social Media skills (Facebook, Twitter, Ravelry, Foursquare) Knitting and/or Crochet background Relevant work history in retail, office or education Three work references and craft references Proof of residency in the US We get a lot of people coming in for help and need someone quick on their feet with either the knowledge to help or the knowledge to point them in the correct direction. This is a minimum wage position and requires a 90 day evaluation period. No benefits but we do offer an employee discount! If you have holes in your employment history - don’t worry.
