*****ATTENTION*****ATTENTION*****ATTENTION***** Please SHARE THIS UPDATE as it pertains to a Tornado Watch. The NWS Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK has issued Tornado Watch Number 0003 until 6:00 PM. Oddly enough its only the third tornado watch issued this year for the entire country. This watch is for the following counties in South Carolina: Allendale Beaufort Colleton Jasper Bamberg Berkeley Dorchester Orangeburg Barnwell Charleston Hampton I was actually in the middle of typing out an update concerning a line of thunderstorms approaching the east coast when the watch was issued. The line is moving northeast and will be near the I-95 Corridor by about 3:00 PM. I am going to put two radar images up, one of the Charleston Radar, and one that serves Southern GA and the Florida Panhandle. The reason for the second radar is because I want people to see the part of the line that will be an issue for the Charleston area. I will also have a map of the watch area. Also I am trying something new on my radar software that will turn any county under a tornado watch red. As this line pushes through our area we will also have some very high winds. This line has already caused some significant wind damage in Georgia and Alabama.
