!!! ATTENTION * * * ATTENTION!!! YOUR MORNING DEXTER UPDATE Jess just got off the phone with Dexters neurologist / surgeon. Dex is doing awesome! He has far more control over his front legs this morning. He is now able to get onto his belly a lot easier and raise his head quite a bit higher. He seems to be regaining movement in his neck fairly quickly for what it has just gone through. He is eating on his own but it looks like our spoiled boy has decided he now only likes canned chicken and baby food, none of that kibble stuff. Hahaha At this point he still has the cath.. in, is still on some meds,remains in ICU, is still wagging that tail and giving kisses. Now its time to put a smile on your faces. The techs have been leaving his crate door open so he can interact and doesnt feel caged. Last night our unstoppable hound decided it was time to venture out of his crate and squirm his way out onto the floor to have a look around! He is still not able to stand, walk or really use his legs for anything more than tipping onto his side and back to his belly , but this to me is a huge improvement and shows Dexters wont give up attitude. Thank you all so much for all your love and support. Dex will be staying in the hospital through the weekend for sure. We are not sure exactly when he will be released being that it is based upon his healing and abilities, but we will keep you all posted. Please share this update so that everyone involved gets the good news. Dex has a very, very long hard road ahead of him. He still desperately needs your shares, love and support.
