ATTENTION EVERYONE. THIS IS SERIOUSLY URGENT, PLEASE READ. Do NOT buy Hartz brand flea treatment for your animals. We have had two of our cats die within the last week. We brought the remaining two to the vet to see if they were at risk, and to possibly find an answer. We brought the box of flea medication to show what we had been using. The vet explained that it has s-methoprene, a drug that is toxic not only to the fleas, but to other animals. This is what killed my cats. Please, share this, and urge others not to buy Hartz brand flea treatment, and to check your flea treatments for this chemical. The visit to the vet, including bloodwork, and SAFE flea medication cost us $600, and the lives of two of my cats.
