ATTENTION FAITHFUL #GILBERT23 FOLLOWERS: We have been overwhelmed by the love, support, and dedication we have seen the past week regarding the Gilbert 23 Dog House Memorial tomorrow. In a short time we have had nearly 600 RSVPs on Facebook alone. While more than half of these individuals are “attending” from afar this number speaks volumes about the support people are showing for this great movement. FOR THOSE PHYSICALLY ATTENDING, we realize you are all busy trying to keep up on the trending Green Acre information but we ask that you take the time to read this post in its entirety. The Gilbert 23 Dog House Memorial is a time to come together as a community, a tribute to the families that lost loved ones. It is not a back yard BBQ or lengthy social gathering. We ask that you arrive promptly at 7:00pm in order to find parking and be at the elementary school in time. The walk will begin at 7:30pm with or without you. We estimate that the event will last approximately one hour with the walk, speeches, and unveiling of the main attraction. After the closing remarks have been made and you have had an opportunity to view the dog house we respectfully ask that you do not loiter in the area. This is a quiet rural neighborhood and there are many homes that are unaffiliated with Green Acre or our event. Our goal is to cause as little disturbance to these households as possible. Additionally, there will be no bathroom facilities available so please do not ask. Please come ready to show the kind neighbors and their beautiful property the respect they deserve.
