***ATTENTION*** For anyone interested in their childs, future childs, or grandchildrens future please read. In tthe elections coming up this fall we have a very important decision to make. Please vote Tom Torlakson. The other candidate, Marshall Tuck has about 50% of the votes right now because of billions of dollars of funding, and honestly, that is frightening. Not only has Tuck never been an educator, he wants to increase the amount of testing, which is already outrageous. He wants to tie teachers pay to the test scores of the students. That is absolutely the most absurd idea I have ever heard of. As a teacher, I did not go into teaching for money. I went in to make a difference in the lives of our nations children. Teachers put their heart and soul into their work, and most go above and beyond to help every student succeed in their school. The idea that teachers will get paid depending on how smart their students are is just crazy. So please, go out and vote for Tom Torlakson on November 11. If any of you are wondering who to vote for, ask yourselves this: Is it a smart idea to have a person who has never been an educator be in charge of Californias education system?
