ATTENTION: IT GRADUATES JOB OPPORTUNITY: Online Web Designer Remuneration: Cost to company Location: Cape Town Education level: Matric Job level: Junior Travel requirement: Occasional Job policy: Employment Equity position Type: Contract Reference: #Online Web Designer Job description -Responsible for the production of interactive deliverables (from banners to full websites). -Work closely with the digital creative team to bring to bring alive their cutting edge creative designs. -Work closely with the development team to ensure full integration into digital deliverables. -Input and upload content to website. -Create online competition mechanics (within a given framework). -Ensure the site conforms to the brand images of all four stations -Contribute to conceptual architecture of site. -Contribute to consumer development of the site. -Participate in creative briefings to highlight the possible in terms of flash. -Site maintenance, development and testing. -Keep yourself up-to-date and ahead of the game in terms of innovations in online front-end technology. -Ensuring cooperative liaison with other departments, and colleagues in the online department. -Ensuring all station events and activities are covered in a manner that ensures maximum exposure for the brand. -Listening to the stations to align briefs to outputs and share learnings to improve sound of the stations -Ensure the site reflects the brand image. -Adhering to the Primedia Broadcasting Formula in all operations, executions and delivery of work. Requirements -Minimum of Matric qualification -Formal and/or informal studies with practical training experience to support the skills required. -Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript -Understanding of new technologies e.g. HTML5, CSS3 -Understanding of mobile development -Experience with Adobe Suite. -Knowledge of best practices, accessibility and SEO for websites. -Demonstrate a passion and relevant skills for web technologies and a drive to remain abreast and up-to-date with the latest technologies and innovations. -Excellent listening skills to Photoshop -Excellent conceptual skills to convert briefings into quality product outputs -An understanding of internet related technologies. -Must display lateral thinking, with good problem solving skills and abilities.
