ATTENTION SOAPBOX.....If you dont want to hear it ...move on and look away.. just really dont get the adverse reaction to the ALS Challlenge....For just a short bit it will bring more attention and bit more money to a really horrible uncureable disease...why are so many people so bent out of shape for this fun little gimmick...is it really that much of an issue?....it worked in our house...we donated a little money....and the girls wanted to know what ALS was and so we all looked it up and talked about and brought education and awareness to it....this challenge will pass and the disease will go on but maybe with a bit more pennies in research pockets and a bit more education and understanding...just dont get the adverse reaction to it all....lol sorry off my soap box....I think some people just like to not like something....we didnt waste water...no we didnt cure the diesase with this challenge..no we didnt save the world with dumping water on our heads...we watered our yard (much needed)...I dont see people freaking out at pictures of sprinklers and slip and slides and water balloons etc....jeesh....it was fun way to do some education and awareness about something my kids had no idea about....now everyone go do something else that people can complain about:) carry on:)
