ATTENTION TO ALL! The National Consensus Movement, 10th May, 2014. Sir, Madam, Prof, Malam, Dr, The National Consensus Movement, which is a coalition of youth groups and organizations across the entire Northern region, and having witnessed the gross insensitivity of the Federal Government of Nigeria to the protection of the rights of the citizens of the northern state to life and security, are calling for a sit at home civil protest in all of the states of this great region on the 12th May, 2014. This has become necessary following the heavy handed security clampdown on the peaceful protests organized in KADUNA, the capital of the northern region. We are of the belief that, your effort shall be most helpful in bringing about a successful outcome to this protest and an end to the unimaginable atrocities and calamities going on in our region. We know you are an important stakeholder who is concerned about the fate of this region, and will contribute your own quota, by reaching out to various organizations, groups, unions, CSOs, NGOs, International journalists and members of press to participate effectively in this effort.
