ATTENTION TRAIL, ENDURANCE & RECREATIONAL RIDERS The recently released “South Coastal Plan South Draft Management Plan” is currently up for public comment. This management plan covers a very large area of the South West of the State and includes many areas that are currently used for horse riding. The 10th Light Horse Bridle Trail and the Yalgorup National Park Bridle Trail are included in the management plan. These trails are only briefly mentioned in a general manner, but the plan does however, recognise horse access. The plan needs to be more specific and include trails for the next 10 years. Circulate this information to your contacts so that relevant input to this plan can be considered and implemented, before it’s too late. Closing date for comments is Friday 20th May Remember once these management plans are finalised they stand for 10 years, which is a very long time.
