ATTENTION YOUNG ACTORS! :) This is a long post.. keep reading! On March 21, 2015 The National Society of Arts and Letters will be holding its Kentucky Chapter Drama Competition at the Farish Theater. The time to sign up is now! If you are, or will be, between the ages of 18-26 on May 29th 2015, can deliver two monologues in 6 min from a selected list of playwrights, and wish to compete to placement in the National Competition in St. Louis, then this is for YOU! The Winner of the State Competition gets a free ride to deliver their skills at Nationals. There you will meet and work with fellow champions from other Chapters throughout the country, and get to work with some top notch directors. Think of it as The Hunger Games... but for actors... and you dont die. In fact, it can be quite rewarding. I was fortunate enough to win (moons ago) the State competition and place in Nationals, and it has been one of the BEST decisions I have made as an actor. Im attaching info for you to check out.
