Auditions : During w/c 9th February 2015 in London Aida Cruises, the German subsidiary of the Carnival Group, is the leading player in the German cruise market covering destinations from South America to Europe and from Asia to the Caribbean, with 10 ships in 2014/2015. The contracts begin with a rehearsal period of between 5 and 7 weeks in Hamburg, followed by up to 6 month contract on any of their ships including AIDAbella, AIDAviva, AIDAblu, AIDAstella, AIDAaura, AIDAvita, AIDAcara We are looking for LEADING SOLOIST SINGERS All need strong voices and personalities with strong looks and style. Exciting and charismatic performers with good movement ability. Must be able to command a stage, and have excellent stamina and energy. APPLICANTS MUST BE OVER 18 YEARS OF AGE. All cast should vocally encompass a wide variety of genres of pop/rock/modern musical theatre, with a talent for harmonies. Male roles M1 Tenor M2 Tenor/Baritone M3 Baritone Female roles F1 Mezzo/alto F2 Soprano/mezzo F3 Lyrical soprano We are also looking for a different kind of singer for a new type of show on board the newest ship, AIDAprima. The initial ‘Beachclub’ singers and musicians will rehearse in Germany from June/July until the end of August and on-board contracts will be through till January/February 2016. The first cruise will travel from Japan to Dubai, including overnights in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Bankok, Mumbai, and stay for the winter season in Dubai, before travelling back to Hamburg in Spring 2016. For this ship we are looking for : BEACHCLUB SINGERS Male and female Singers who can pick up set choreography to be accompanied by a live band in a club atmosphere and will perform every night with different sets of rock/pop music. A different feel to the usual production shows, for these performers we are looking for singers with band experience, e.g. a natural performer rather than the ‘trained’ musical theatre look. Stylish, charismatic and engaging, young and attractive. APPLICANTS MUST BE OVER 18 YEARS OF AGE. Further information about terms and conditions can be provided to interested parties. AIDA Cruises does not reimburse the costs for this training. However, the artiste might be able to deduct this from their taxes at the end of the year. The course is offered here in Hamburg, Germany.
