***AUDITION POSTING*** ACTORS THEATRE OF INDIANA - MY FAIR LADY AUDITION CALL These auditions are open to equity and non-equity performers but must be secured with an appointment time by calling or emailing Actors Theatre of Indiana. Details below. Equity and Non-Equity performer auditions for ATI, Saturday June 7, 2014 from 11 AM to 2 PM. Actors Theatre of Indiana will hold audition appointments for Equity and non-Equity performers for its upcoming production of MY FAIR LADY. Date of Audition: Saturday June 7, 2014 11 AM – 2 PM Location: At the offices of Actors Theatre of Indiana. 510 3rd Avenue, SW, Suite D, Carmel, IN 46032. The offices are located on the west side of the street and there is an ATI logo outside the entrance to the offices. Where do I park? There are parking spaces right outside of the offices, Suite D. Times: 11 AM - 2 PM Equity and Non-Equity Performers. A monitor will be provided. Personnel: Executive Director - James A. Preparation: Please bring a headshot and resume stapled together and material that will show you at your best, (i.e. two contrasting songs or a song and a monologue). An accompanist will be provided. ROBERTS CHOREOGRAPHER: CYNTHIA COLLINS MUSIC DIRECTOR: BRIAN HOFFMAN ROLES: Casting Breakdown All characters are British and will require appropriate dialect work Men HENRY HIGGINS: character baritone, 30s-40s upper class, extremely smart, selfish and egotistical yet charming when he wants to be requires a strong actor who uses language extremely well COLONEL PICKERING: character baritone, 50s-60s friendly, cheerful, endearing, book-smart but easily befuddled, can become quite childlike ALFRED P. DOOLITTLE: character baritone, moves well, 40s-60s lower class, uneducated but street-smart, loquacious, cheerful, crass yet very likeable (may double in small ensemble roles) FREDDY EYNSFORD-HILL: tenor (F high), 20s upper class but not wealthy, perhaps a bit dim, cheerful and charming, a romantic (may double in small ensemble roles) CHARACTER MAN 1: baritone or tenor, moves well, 40s-50s Harry, friend of Doolittle; Higgins’s Butler; Lord Boxington at Ascot various other ensemble roles CHARACTER MAN 2: tenor or baritone, moves well, 20s-30s Jamie, friend of Doolittle; Higgins’s Footman; various other ensemble roles Women ELIZA DOOLITTLE: soprano (G high) with a strong belt; 20s uneducated lower-class girl who learns to speak and behave like an upper-class lady requires a strong actor with both comedic and dramatic range and dialect skills MRS. PEARCE & MRS. HIGGINS: alto or soprano, 50s-60s Mrs. Pearce: brisk and efficient yet warm and appealing; Irish or Scots dialect?
