AUDITIONS FOR 12 - 17 YEAR OLDS! This FALL Teens In Theater at Playhouse on the Square will perform: "Musicals: Cut Gems" Musicals: Cut Gems will be a concert show format consisting of songs that were either cut from musicals or from musicals that are not often produced, plus a few surprises! This is a chance for those lesser known pieces of music from the Musical Theatre genre to be given another listen! Auditions will be held: When: Saturday, August 17 , 2013 11:00 - 2:00 pm Where: The Varnell Education Building, 1711 Poplar Avenue (next to The Evergreen Theatre) What: Vocal audition consisting of music taught from the show, and a short movement audition. CASTING will be made with the considerations of all needs for the show: INCLUDING talent, rehearsal availability, and professional attitude. IF CAST there will be a parent meeting from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm August 22 at the Varnell Education Building. * Rehearsals will be held Tuesday evenings, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, and Saturday mornings, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm starting August 24. Final Rehearsals will be Tuesday Through Friday evenings, and Saturday mornings September 9 - 25,6:00- 8:00 pm week nights and 9:00 am - 2:00 pm Saturdays. * Performance dates will be September 26 through October 6th Teens In Theatre provides a performance and learning venue for 12-17 year olds from around the Mid South. Teens must audition to be in the troupe, which performs at various sites in the Fall and in the Spring. Membership in the troupe includes duties such as ticket sales and production tasks.
