Consumers need to be concerned about where are food really comes from and our labelling laws should be able to tell us clearly. We examples of imported products using the Australian flag - in the USA the flag cannot be used without US Federal Govn approval - not so here. Made in Australia infers it is sourced here but some companies are substituting imports for locally grown produce. The problem is too much of our food supply is controlled beyond the farm gate by countries that do not meet our standards. Many of long term global companies that operate here must also be worried about security of supply of from our wonderful farmers.
