AUSTIN DRAKE DOTSON POUND, VA- Austin Drake “Add” Dotson, 12, passed away Tuesday June 3, 2014 from the Holston Valley Medical Center due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident. He was surrounded by his loving family. Austin was a fifth grade student at the J.W. Adams Combined School in Pound, VA. He participated in lots of school activities, played football, rode dirt bikes, enjoyed camping and fishing and working on cars with his Daddy. He loved to aggravate his brother Owen and his sister Hope But his passion was baseball, he was a member of the all-star team and remarkably at the age of twelve he could throw a curve ball at 62 mph. He loved his little brother, his little sister, his parents, his aunts, uncles and cousins and all his friends and family. Austin is survived by his father Josh Dotson and his fiancé, Christy Harris; his mother, Heather (Hollyfield) Dotson and her companion, Wesley Stanley; his brother Owen Dale Dotson; his sisters, Isabelle Hope Dotson and Allison Brickley; an unborn brother or sister due in January 0f 2015; maternal grandparents, Mickey and Robin Holleyfield; paternal grandparents, Dale Dotson and Janie Hamilton and Sondra Mullins; paternal great-grandparents, Eleanor and Frank Dotson; uncles, Mickey Hollyfield, Jr. and Jason Hollyfield; sissy, Christan Ventro; aunt Stacy Mullins; cousins, Morgan, Makinzi, Kelan, Braxton and Karly; his classmates; his teammates; and a host of friends and loved ones to mourn his passing and cherish his memory. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Friday June 6, 2014 at the J.W. Adams Combined School Auditorium with Reverend Daniel Dent officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until time of services. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday June 7, 2014 at the Eli Mullins Cemetery-Pound, VA. where Josh Dotson, Mickey Hollyfield, Jr., Jason Hollyfield, Wesley Stanley, Brad Baker and Christan Ventro will serves as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:00 am to prepare to go in procession to the cemetery. Baker Funeral Home-Pound, VA is serving the family of Austin Dotson
