AUSTRALIA DAY RECOGNITION Today, one of our Hawkesbury SES - TopicsExpress

AUSTRALIA DAY RECOGNITION Today, one of our Hawkesbury SES volunteers; David King, has been recognised for his research and presentations on the great boatmen coming to the rescue of many unfortunate settlers in times of flood, with an Australia Day Cultural Heritage Award presented by the Mayor, Kim Ford, and Don Burke. Congratulations Dave! If you do get a chance - drop into the Hawkesbury Regional Museum at Windsor and take a look at the flood exhibit. It is a reminder of what the Hawkesbury River has done in the past and can certainly do in the future. THIS WEEK - our volunteers have responded to one request for assistance with a branch on a house in Ebenezer; and two motor vehicle accidents at Ebenezer and Bilpin, which fortunately did not require rescue.
