AUTUMN 2013 CLASS SCHEDULE Classes are open to students 18 and over. Classes open to a maximum of 10 people and a minimum of 6 people. Come in, call with a credit card, or sign up on line at jomocostudio. If you find that something prevents you from taking a class let us know as soon as possible and we will make an effort to re-fill your space. If we are successful, we will refund your payment. Students receive a discount on stained glass & supplies purchased for the duration of the class. Students may make up missed classes on Saturdays, space permitting. 09/05/13 BEGINNER STAINED GLASS thru 10/24/13. Thursday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 pm for 8 weeks. A detailed class teaching all the skills necessary to craft stained glass in the copper foil method. Class is $125.00; tool kit is $185.00 to our students (or see tool list). Expect to spend $30.00 (more or less) for glass for project and for copper foil. Students make a 10” by 16” panel. See studio for patterns. 09/28/13 STAINED GLASS MOSAICS thru 10/19/13 Saturday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:30pm for 4 weeks. Learn to craft mosaics using stained glass. Two styles & two methods covered. Class is $85.00; see tool list for tools needed. Students create a tabletop (purchased) or a stepping-stone, often from scrap glass. Great for gifts! Glass cutting skills required. Students need to bring a glass cutter, breaker/grozers, running pliers, a marker & a ruler. See studio for molds for stepping stones, project choices, pattern approval. 9/10/13 OPEN STUDIO CLASS through 10/29/13. Tuesday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 pm for 8 weeks. This is the class where you bring in your unfinished projects & any questions or problems with them with which you need help, space permitting. Work on as many projects as time permits in the 8 week session. New projects also welcome. Class is $125.00 Consult teacher to see what tools and supplies might be needed. Please review project choices with teacher at sign up. 11/07/13 SOLDERED JEWELRY WORKSHOP through 11/21/13 Thursday nights from 7:00pm to 9:00pm for 3 weeks. This is the fun method for making the foiled & soldered jewelry, & ornaments that are so popular right now. The class will cover the various styles & materials used. The techniques used to embellish the projects are useful for many projects. These make great gifts! Students should bring their stained glass tools. All materials provided. Class is $95.00. 11/12/13 GLASS FUSING through 12/03/13 Tuesday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 pm for 4 weeks. Glass plus heat equals creativity! Learn how to fuse, slump, layer, & decorate glass to make vases, plates, jewelry or special effects to use in stained glass. Students create 2 projects each class as a way to learn the different aspects of fusing glass. Students must already know how to cut glass. Students must bring a glass cutter, breaker/ grozers, running pliers, marker, & a ruler. All materials provided. Class is $200.00
