*** AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION *** A volunteer writes: Liannie came to us as a stray, a shy girl with a bit of a wary look on her face, a tail often kept between her legs but opening up slowly, treats helping as well as caresses and soft words. Liannie is a pretty female, medium size, who seems to have borrowed some features from an American Bulldog. She looks healthy and well nourished. Liannie is easily leashed, walks well and eliminates in the street rather than in the yard. She meets other dogs in a very civil way. She can sit on command and takes roast beef properly from my hand. She is a timid girl, at least in our hands and needs a slow approach to try to get her little by little more comfortable with her new surroundings. Liannie is with us at the Manhattan Care Center, a sweet girl, still a bit shaken up but who could in your home and with your love and care, be a wonderful and outgoing forever best friend. Come, meet her and make her yours. Another volunteer writes: Liannies a heartbreaker, because shes so incredibly sweet and patient, and shes also so terrified in the shelter. Shes an amazing sport-even though she has a difficult time stopping shaking, she leans in for comforting pets, walks gorgeously on a leash, and does absolutely anything that is asked of her without protest, from sitting to getting back in her cage. We wish Liannie not only the loving, kind home she deserves but as soon as possible so she might know the security she so deserves. Please come meet her and heal her heart-she will pay you back with more love than youve ever known.
