AVALANCHE….NO EARTHQUAKE…HANDSOME HUNTCH NEEDS NEW FRIEND! Drumroll, please…the dumbest excuse for surrendering your cat award goes to poor Huntch’s former owner—“earthquake.” Oh, boy!!! Have we heard it all? This incredibly sweet Russian Blue type boy, just three years old, was dumped at the Staten Island Shelter just a few short days ago and already has caught the dreaded shelter cold. So you know what that means? Yet another highly adoptable and friendly cat ends up on the at-risk list and will end up as another ACC stat when tomorrow afternoon rolls around unless we do everything we can to move him to safe haven tonight. This great guy wasn’t even at the shelter long enough to get a behavior eval but it was noted that we was friendly, affectionate and easy to handle during intake. Any kitty that would be calm during stressful times would be a purrfect companion and fit in well to any home. We can’t make the earth move (ugh) but let’s do all we can to move handsome Huntch to safe haven. Won’t you please be his rescue angel?
