***AVERAGE RATEDF SAFER*** Due to sons allergies the family had to give up Boo. Now Boo has hit the kill list right before Halloween. Please help find Boo a New Family and a Forever home before it is to late...... A volunteer writes: What is a seven year old dog thinking, locked in a kennel, in a strange place, after spending so many years as a family pooch? I really wonder..Boo is immobile in her undisturbed den. She ate her food and drank all her water. She is ready when I am, no questions asked and aims at my pace to the yard where she relieves herself right away. She is reserved, even a little aloof but seems quite interested and even eager to eat when she sees my treats..That works….Boo and I are now officially friends…Boo has a hefty appetite. Like my Pug, I think she could clear a house from all Thanksgiving or Christmas left overs. And she is not overweight…Boo sits on command, gives me her paw and even rolls on her back for belly rubs. We end up, like old buddies, sitting snuggly on a bench… It did not take long for Boo to open up and show what a good dog she is. Boo, a family dog living with small children, was given away because of allergies that developed in a household member. She is GREAT and she is GREAT with kids. The words of her former owners who recommend Boo for any type of family…I was very impressed by Boo, a lively and well behaved elderly who does not look and does not act her stated age. Let Boo woo you..Come and meet her at the Manhattan Care Center. Make her yours, a wonderful new friend. Another volunteer writes: So quiet, not calling attention to herself amidst the frenetic activity passing her arrival kennel, Boo quietly looks up as if willing me to take her out next. She goes potty as soon as were out the door and wags her tail as we walk to the park. Shes considered a senior, but there is nothing senior about her demeanor, leash manners or energy level. Shes so perfect, posing for pictures, enjoying a good petting, sitting when asked to and giving paw. Surrendered by her family shes trying to make the best out of a new situation and shes doing admirably. Ready to go trick or treating with a Halloween name like Boo, shes ready to be by your side for the rest of her life. Her calm energy and sweet personality should be a welcome addition to any home. If I had to choose one word to describe her it would be sweet. But it would be hard to narrow it down as there is just so much about her thats wonderful. Ask to meet her and see for yourself. Boo!
