...AWARENESS KEEPS AWAY WORRIES... By: Melvin Montejo Last August 19,2014, Tuesday, I was attending the Regional Education Summit at Grand MengSeng Hotel, Davao City. The seminar were gave an explicit explanation from those mind worried about the implementation of K to 12 system in Philippine Education. It was the collaboration of different agencies of government,, The CHED, DOLE, TESDA and the DepEd. They were realized the most that the college teachers would be forced to retrench from the work if the Kto12 program would implement. By then, the tertiary level would not receive any enrollees instead for first year but would remain in secondary level to complete the two years additional curriculum in education. Were bothering enough the salient as the college teachers which the most affected part when the transition of educational system be done. Were just thinking how do we do if the Grade 11-12 will start this coming year-2016. Would be losing of work and turn down into frantic minded from ample transition of educational system. In fact, this would not be undergone in proper ironing and deliberation in which they can actually intensify the program, where the others suffers and sacrificing of their carrier and their individual needs which the real sources is from the teaching. Sustaining this living were produced by the profession and it would be possibly perished cause of those uncertain. And the hope of our teachers slowly down in faded and leave some mark of nauseated in stomach. Were just trying to stand finding the right way to survive and preparation of what will happen next. The huge impact for this changes will be unmeasurable and unpredictable cause may be everything still remain in concepts and projection. Whom will be concerned on thistrue causes of this issue would be the budget which is the real problem of this all. The said seminar had filled in more vagueness and worries to all the teachers mind were the optimistic promises to support them during the interim period of retrenchment, But how,when this would happen until such time the transition bill would be using only as their propaganda when it comes of election time or given hope We are really knocking the door of the government to open wide in order to feel the assurance of the teachers living. The K to 12 program had intentionally building of standard the Philippine Education System, conceptually were best,but it should be balanced by mere approving the Transition Fund Bill as the sustenance budget for those affected teachers during the interim period when the said program implemented.
