AWESOME night at Genettis for the Hazleton Integration Project. Got to meet the 1958 Rookie of the Year and Hall of Famer Orlando Cepada; WBA and WBC Heavyweight Boxing Champ Tim Witherspoon; World Series Champ and Gold Glover Orlando Cabrera; Yogi Berras granddaughter Lindsay Berra; Legendary Dodgers Coach Tommy Lasorda- who gave one of the most entertaining speeches Ive ever heard, and of course Joe Maddon, who put it all together! Even more impressive than the celebrities was the company at our table- I enjoyed every second with Matt VonFrisch, Robert VonFrisch, Bob Penkala, and the legendary Chip Fairchild. You know, if you had told me yesterday morning that Id be hobnobbing with Tommy Lasorda and challenging Terrible Tim Witherspoon to a 3 round bout, with winner taking ownership of my bow-tie, I would have said you were crazy!
