AYO ORITSEJAFOR MINISTRIES Daily Devotional JUNE 22 HOW TO TURN YOUR WISHES TO BLESSINGS "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth" (3 John 1:2) It is absolutely important for you as an individual to convince yourself that God wishes you good. You must convince yourself that God always wishes you good irrespective of how bad the situation is. In Jeremiah 29:11, God said, my thoughts towards you are good and not of evil to give you an expected end. Every plan God has for you is of good. It is the wish of God for you to prosper, to be healed, to be blessed, to be delivered to go to Heaven. But wishes are not enough. You have to learn how to take the wishes and change it to blessings. In the scripture above, the Bible says, "I wish above all things that �." God wishes it but why did God not just say, prosper, be blessed, be healed, be delivered, etc. It is because the blessings of God are conditional. In verse 3, the Bible says, "For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth" If you want to change your wishes to blessings, you must know the truth concerning that wish, receive that truth and begin to walk in the truth. For example healing God wishes for you to be healed. You must know the truth concerning healing. You must know that by His stripes, we were healed. Then you must receive it. Receiving it means believing what you know not just with your mouth but with your heart also. When you believe it, then you begin to walk in it. Even when your body is giving you symptoms, you must learn how to exercise your faith on that symptom. You must learn how to use your faith on little things so that you can equally exercise it on big things. When you begin to walk in that truth, you will receive the blessing. PRAYER/CONFESSION: I hold on to your words concerning me which says that I am empowered to change the impossible. I build up my faith today and I state authoritatively that every evil situation that I am facing shall overturn for my favour, Amen.
