Aarons Results: Aarons semen analysis results came in and things are now back to borderline. This is the same category we were in when we last did Clomid, except this time the numbers are a bit worse, so lower on the borderline scale. :/ This means it is hit or miss whether we could conceive naturally or not, even if I am ovulating multiple eggs each cycle. As soon as we get the insurance situation sorted out, Ill be scheduling an appointment with a male reproductive specialist. Still, since the SA results say it /may/ be possible to conceive naturally, were going ahead with the Clomid. Semen Analysis Details: -Number was good at 47 million/mL. (Normal is anything over 20 million.) -Motility is better, but still not normal. (Normal is bare minimum of 50%, this test showed 40%, last IVF had motility around 20-30% I think?) -Kruger Strict Morphology came in at 13% (Normal is bare minimum of 14%.) -Viscosity is still an issue. (This traps sperm.) -The pH level is now too high. (This kills sperm and decreases motility.) My Results: My blood work came back today at hCG = 1, so Im cleared to stop the progesterone in preparation for our 5th medicated, non-IVF cycle. Ill be taking 50mg Clomid twice a day for days 2-6, followed by an ultrasound on day 10 to check for follicle development. I also had a thyroid panel drawn for on Saturday and should have results by weeks end. Treatment Plan: The plan right now is to do 2-4 medicated rounds before going back to Prague for a frozen embryo transfer. (If anyone wants to fund it, we do a transfer sooner, but right now there is no way to afford another trip out.) We have enough blastocysts for two frozen transfers of two embryos each. If all of that fails, well hopefully be back to a fresh round of IVF in the spring, as long as we can get the insurance situation sorted out. Right now were not sure if well be getting IVF insurance or not. (Yes, were pissed.) Ive spoken to the CFO at Aarons company as well as the companys insurance broker. The insurance company should be getting back to the broker by mid-week. So thats about it. Our latest Clomid cycle should be starting by the end of the week. Many, many thanks to everyone for being there for us through all of this.
