Abbott the Old Fashioned Alarm Clock A little ditty that just popped into my head. :-) Just like an old fashioned alarm clock, Abbott is: - unwanted by most people... - annoying from the days start... - the only thing that goats you to resort to the violence of hitting it on the head to shut it up... - prone to undignified head wobbling when its about to go off... - programmed to instill fear in you by telling you time is running out and the day is already screwed... - inflexible analog technology, threatened by the digital age... - limited in repertoire, daily repeating the same old-same old, but - unfortunately necessary to wake up some sleeping Australians! © Louise A.
