Abdullahian: Planners of war against #Syria failed Sep 14, 2013 #Tehran, (SANA) – Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdullahian, said that the planners of the war against Syria sought to undermine the resistance axis in the region but failed to achieve that purpose. In an interview made on Saturday, Abdullahian called for taking serious measures as to prevent the takfiri mentality in the region. "We have noticed, since the beginning of the crisis, that the US intervened indirectly in Syria in many forms," he said, adding that "the second phase for the US was to intervene militarily, but all their schemes which aim at undermining the resistant role of Syria went in vain." He said that the Iranian government has information that an official in a regional country is unifying the takfiri forces in the region with Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization as to topple the Syrian government.
