Abia PDP: A House In Shambles And The Impending Doom For President Jonathan –By Chuks Digits || NewsDay Reporters Umuahia (NDR) - It is very laughable when read that the Abia State Governor has inaugurated a 7 man committee to reconcile the aggrieved members of the PDP in the state. He made this move when he saw that the PDP in the state has become a house in shamble which the collapse is inevitable. This would have been a good move if not that the same gang of people that masterminded and benefitted from the misdeeds are the same people in charge of the reconciliation committee. Then one should ask the governor if a problem could be solved with the same mentalities that created it? If the answer is No! Then why wasting time going for reconciliation since it is very obvious that nothing new would come out of it. It is certain that very big damages have been done in Abia State PDP and above all to the entire South east PDP and what caused the damages are greed and over ambitious. Later on the Presidency will face the consequences which would make the masses in Abia and South East region vote for opposition parties. The truth about the whole situation is that those who are entrusted to manage Abia PDP and PDP in South East are more desperate, greedy, more ambitious and more selfish than their principal Goodluck Jonathan. In fact they act like people who have bigger political problems and challenges than GEJ. They are like apprentices who their agenda superimposed their master’s agenda. PDP of Abia State and South East entirely is a place where those who have no political value have turned to be king makers. For Instance what is the political value of Olisah Metuh that he has turned to be celebrity in Abia PDP and in South East? Has he ever contested for any primary election let alone losing it? Even the publicity entrusted to him in national PDP; is it not very clear that the opposition is dominating the online campaign upon billions of naira budgeted by the presidency for online campaigns. There have been several publications alleging that Gov. Orji paid Olisa Metuh the sum of 2 Billion Naira to help him influence the PDP primaries in Abia State which he executed so well with open lapses and since these articles went viral, has he ever deny it? No! Of which everybody knows there is no smoke without fire. What proved this accusation against Metuh to be truth is that Metuh visited Abia State and publicly scored the Gov. Orji administration so high without knowing that some people have the current video clips of present condition of the state. Aba has been destroyed totally without passion; in fact the look of Aba is very sorry one. For instance if one releases the video of infrastructural decays in Abia State, it would be a very big time disaster for Gov. Orji’s government and open truth which may likely get to the president himself or genuine people working for him. So no one should be thinking that Abians are confused or senseless, only that Abians are giving the governor long rope to retrace his step. To the surprise of the masses the so called king makers in Abia PDP and South East often said that they can do anything because they have tie with her Excellency the wife of the president. Ordinary it would be difficult to believe them but the way Her Excellency is meddling in the South East Politics is a clear confirmation to their brag. One cannot help wondering if her Excellency is aware that she is bringing the political value of her husband down which probably would make her husband to lose his second term bid. Her Excellency should have known that those coming for her to indorse any unpopular candidate for any selfish political reason is tantamount of bringing bad result for PDP in that region. And if the president does score the similar number of votes he scored in 2011 in the South East that would definitely bring him failure. In Abia State when the charade was going on, the perpetrators forgot that 30- 50 votes of the cabals would never win general election. They thought that after primaries that everything has ended and that Abians are kin to PDP without knowing that change is a default factor. They thought that writing names of candidates would do them any good but now the whole things have turned upside down. What happened in PDP primaries is still heart breaking to Abians. Report has it that they hired strangers from Akwaibom and Anambra state, camped them in the house of Col. Austin Akobundu for two days for them to accomplish their mischievousness. The same fake delegates voted for the governor’s senatorial primary that was why they had to be camped for 2 days. But now everything has backfired. There is now mass exodus of PDP members to APGA and PPA as the both parties are working tirelessly to build a consensus candidate in the governorship level that would turn things around for Abians. That move is a commendable one because Abians are tired of suffering and the presidency cannot help them; so there is nothing wrong if they go out to seek for better option. PDP members are decamping to APGA and PPA because the house is in commotion. There is even news making round that the wife of the governor was lamenting over what his exuberance god the Son Chinedu Orji- Ikuku the intending speaker Abia speaker has done to Abia first family. The story said that the wife of the governor was lamenting over the husband acting on his son’s script without weighing the consequences. She was complaining that the whole people that were shouting Yes! Yes!! Yes!! have now backed them and the name of the family is been painted black. With the quest of Chinedu Orji to become the speaker of Abia State house of Assembly, they have destroyed the PDP in Abia, planted a puppet Okezie Ikpeazu so that at the end he would be impeached for the proposed speaker to become the governor. In the senatorial level, there is another story alleging that the governor rifted the agreement in Abia North. How did it happen? It was at the climax of the contest where the presidency called former Gov. Orji Uzor Kalu – OUK to step down for Chukwumerije, OUK agreed and withdrawn from the race but when Chukwumerije became sick and was flown to abroad for treatment, the governor out of desperation projected Hon Mio Ohuabunwa to take over the ticket which made Orji Kalu to go back to PPA since they refused to upheld the gentleman agreement. It also said that Gov. Orji did the manipulation because he want to be the leader of the senators in Abia state without considering that Abia State will lose a lot in the senate house. If he wins the senatorial election he would still be considered as a neophyte in the house and would not be given any committee to hold. On his own side, Senator Chukwumerije may also decamped or frustrate every attempt to manipulate the election against the people’s choice. Now there is no denial that Abia PDP may not win the 2015 election reason because of the irregularities done during the primaries except if they return the mandate of some popular aspirants whose mandate were intentionally stolen . It would not end at that, Abians May likely vote against Jonathan because of his inability to respond to their yearnings. There was no ward delegates election, no state assembly election, the House of rep election was partially accepted and the senate too and during the state governorship primary; delegates were hired from Akwaibom and Anambra state. These irregularities have caused turbulence in the entire state. The ward executives of Abia PDP have been dissolved like to your tent Oh Israel and if care is not taken the PDP in Abia would be seen as party that existed before. Above all there is still remedy; the remedy is to restore Dr. Uche Ogah stolen mandate and it would turn things around for the state PDP and do better for Jonathan. If Ogah’s mandate is not restored then we all will watch Abia PDP vanished in a thin air.
