Able to Do This? …Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, yea Lord. Then touched He their eyes, saying, according to your faith be it unto you. Mat 9:28-29 So often we hear it said, “I know God is able” but; do we really believe it? My most recent encounter was with a man who said to me “there are millions of people in the US it is impossible for God to hear and answer all their prayers, least of all handle all the prayers of the entire world”. I was astounded at this statement by this man seeing that he is a current elected official and quite a public figure. But after talking with him further, I began to understand as he told me that he did not attend any church and had no pastor at all. If this is the picture of political leadership we have today, in many places then we are indeed cursed with a curse. The Christians of this country and the world are about to experience a new trouble, that has not been before and in such magnitude as to show the abomination of desolation. The minds of civil and social leaders are ghastly turning away from the faith in a righteous God, who requires uprightness as a lifestyle or way of living. But I hear the word of God speaking loudly, saying as never before ”if my people, which are called by name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Ch 7:14
