About 10 days ago I had another exciting visit to the ER. Luckily (if that can be said about having a seizure) I was in a clinic when I felt the early symptoms of a seizure coming on. (No ambulance involved this time.) In the ER, medial staff were able to stop the seizure before it completed the entire horrid and painful cycle. All of my vitals were stabilized. Lab testing revealed that my anti-seizure medications levels were low. The dose was increased, and unbelievably I was released from the ER the same afternoon. I am so grateful that I did not have to be admitted to the hospital. I have been dizzy for about the past week and a half, and of course more than nervous over this. Today my labs showed that medications are at appropriate levels. So the now another eye exam is to follow, and the customary MRI.....then, business as usual. For all of the times I was told that an illness was all in my head....this time it literally is.
