About 15 years ago I was laying in bed on a Sunday morning skipping church....again, while my wife and 4 month old daughter went without me. All of a sudden there was a knock...not at my door but at my bedroom window. When I looked out it was Ben Van Houten and Brian McClard. They knew I was being an idiot and needed to be there, but man was I ticked. Needless to say, Ben wasnt taking no for an answer and I got up and went to church. 15 years later I cant count the number of times God used Ben in my life to help me get through life, even the death of my own brother. Ben was the best friend I ever had, I am a different man because of him and I am going to miss him terribly. While I do trust the sovereignty of God, I am sad tonight, as sad as I have ever been.
