About 1908 hours on Wednesday 6th August 2014, a two vehicle road traffic collision occurred on the A82 Inverness to Ft William trunk road at Ft Augustus involving a motorcycle and a motor caravan. Officers from Police Scotland along with members of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Ambulance Service attended and the rider of the motorcycle was conveyed to Raigmore Hospital Inverness by helimed with serious injuries. As a result of the collision the road was closed for 2 hours with local diversions in place. Police Scotland are requesting that anyone with information in relation to the collision contact them on 101.
