About 3 weeks ago, I had to meet clients at the St-Regis hotel, in the lobby on 12th floor. It was my first time at that hotel. If I remember, it is at Rachadamri BTS, just at that station. Easy to go there. I saw a small place called Decanter, a cellar and restaurant. They had a special at about 1,200 baht for unlimited wine and canapés, including cheese. This special is from 7pm to 10pm, I believe Thursday to Sunday. I is called the wine journey and you can see it here: stregisbangkok/fb_promo With taxes and service, I think I paid 1,400. You had a choice of 8 wine. 4 white and 4 red. On that night, I was alone and I am not kidding. So all that cheese, these beef carpaccio and mussels, bread, it was ALL FOR ME!!! It was a very good bargain since I probably had about 7 glasses of wine in 3 hours, not including cheese and others. I skipped the white and concentrate on the red! This month is a special about ?New Zealand. I might visit it again because I loved that place. Le Bua has the best cheese but it is expensive. Think about it: 1,400 baht all included and all you can drink and eat. ;) Highly, highly, highly recommended for wine and cheese. Canapés were fine, including cold cuts (salami and others) but not exceptional. But for the price, you cant get better in Bangkok to what I think. I felt like a prince alone in that castle with walls to dream about.
